Education

Our children are taught according to their ability and as a ‘preparatory school’ challenged to reach a higher level.

Spiritualization

Spiritualization is the very heart of Revelation Christian Academy. Our student life is built on the strong foundation of Jesus. Students spend their days immersed in God’s Word, from their academics, to recess, to electives as well as beyond the classroom. Jesus is the center of all that we do at Revelation Christian Academy. Our students are given many opportunities to grow and be empowered in their spiritual gifts. Our staff is passionate about developing the mind and character of students so they can Shine the Light of Jesus everywhere they go.

7 Nights/3 Days of Truth
& Outreaches

At RCA we are firm believers that the gospel will transform how we see and serve others. A part of our student life includes attending Revelation Church's 7 Nights Truth. Additionally, Pastor Joe brings a very impactful 3 days of worship, Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit to our students at RCA. From this, the students get empowered to then go out and attend our Outreaches along with Revelation Church members. This burning desire they receive from the 7 Nights/3 Days  to spread Jesus, expands passionately throughout the children. They are confident in speaking the Truth and they minister this Truth. These Outreaches include loving on the lost and showing them the True Mercy and Grace of Jesus. This gives our students the opportunity to go and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Characterization

Godly character is most clearly defined through the life and example of Jesus Christ. At Revelation Christian Academy, we are committed to modeling and teaching the character of Christ in every aspect of academy life.

We believe these character traits serve as the foundation for developing hardworking, diligent, disciplined, and dependable young men and women who will one day lead, serve, and excel in their homes, communities, ministries, and professions.

Our desire is to raise a generation of Warriors for God who minister not only through their words and actions, but through the strength of their character and the integrity of their lives.

In all that we do, we strive to reflect and maintain His Spirit of Excellence.

Stallions Celebrate Character

At RCA we are building leaders and champions through our Stallions Celebrate Character. We are teaching students the proper behavior they will need later in life. When we see our Stallions implementing these character traits they earn a “Stallion Star.” Another way students can earn “Stallion Star” is through “Shine Cards” in our Bible class. Parents can write what their child has done outside the classroom that goes above and beyond. Once they earn the predetermined amount per semester they are rewarded based on Christ like leadership, integrity, humility, compassion and forgiveness.  Past rewards include a day trip to a farm filled with animals, activities, and a BBQ, an adventure to Legoland, a full day, private event at Urban Air Adventure Park, ice skating, and roller skating!

We also use Stallion Stars as a way to build strong tithers. We have students count out their stars and figure out how much they need to give to honor God.

It’s been a blessing watching our students grow in their character, and encourage one another. RCA Stallion Character really needs to be experienced in person. We welcome you to schedule a visit and come see our Stallions for yourself!

Education

Education is the last of the three pillars, however that doesn’t minimize its importance. When Jesus is the priority, everything else follows. We believe in incorporating scripture into every subject we teach. Our children are taught according to their ability and as a ‘preparatory school’ challenged to reach a higher level. Our goal is to harvest the gifts and God-given callings each child possesses and allow them to grow, while clinging to the consistency and structure of the Word.

Class sizes are kept limited so each student receives individual instruction. This allows the school to function like a family. There is a loving bond between the students and the teachers that is built on trust and respect.

Academics at Revelation Christian Academy are designed to build not only the students’ intellect, but their character and prepare them for the plan God has for their life. Following evaluation and assessment, students are assigned to the level that will best harvest their success, while being challenged. This unique approach is very effective with the classes. An example of this rare method is shown with one of our 5th graders being in level 6 math, while another 5th grader is in level 5. We do not want to hold any student back, or cause the student stress. This approach is proven to show positive learning experiences and above all instill a joy in learning that is unmatched. When a student is progressing and displaying a feeling of success, we challenge them. Success is an empowering feeling that makes the students desire to learn more.

Additionally, we do not believe in assigning daily homework for our younger students K-5th. We encourage families to use that time enjoying each other, recharging, and refreshing. We highly value family time, especially in the younger age groups, as it plays a crucial role in a child’s development. For middle school and up, 6th-12th, however, homework is introduced. At this grade level, we are preparing students to take on more responsibility and helping them develop the skills needed to excel in their academic work moving forward.

Movement is an important part of every child’s day. At Revelation Christian Academy, we intentionally incorporate purposeful movement into our daily routine to help students stay engaged, refreshed, and ready to learn. Each morning begins with midline exercises, and throughout the day we provide age-appropriate brain breaks that encourage students to move, reset, and return to learning with renewed focus and energy. By integrating movement into the classroom experience, we create an environment that supports both academic success and healthy development.

Midline exercises are an intentional part of our daily routine because of the important role they play in a child's development. Crossing the body's center line encourages communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, strengthening the neural connections that support learning. These exercises promote more efficient motor planning, help develop hand dominance, improve bilateral coordination, and strengthen the foundational skills that contribute to success in reading, writing, and other everyday learning tasks.

The left and right hemispheres of the brain each contribute unique strengths to the learning process. Activities that require students to cross the body's midline encourage both hemispheres to work together, promoting greater integration of these complementary functions. As students strengthen these connections, they develop important skills such as sensory integration, body awareness, higher-order thinking, problem-solving, and critical thinking. By intentionally incorporating these activities into the school day, we help lay a strong foundation for confident, effective learning.
