So many great things to know…
What makes RCA a preparatory school?
Our school offers a comprehensive K–12 education. However, admission for high school students is limited to incoming 9th graders only. We do not accept new students into 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. Students in upper grades must have been enrolled at our school beginning in 9th grade or earlier.
At RCA, we maintain a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio. We intentionally keep our class sizes small to provide a more individualized and supportive learning environment. This allows our teachers to give each student the attention they need, fostering greater academic success, stronger engagement, and meaningful personal growth—benefits that are often difficult to achieve in larger classroom settings.
What grades do you offer at RCA?
We offer K-12th grade.
What is the student to teacher ratio at RCA?
We strive to keep our class sizes small so we can maintain a more individualized education. The smaller class sizes allow our teachers to help in ways that would be impossible in a larger classroom, which leads to greater student success and engagement.
What year did RCA start?
Revelation Christian Academy opened their doors on September 6, 2022 for the 2022-2023 school year.
What curriculum does RCA use?
At RCA, our curriculum is thoughtfully selected to support our college-preparatory program while nurturing each child’s individual growth. We are committed to meeting each child at their level—building confidence, inspiring a genuine love for learning, and challenging them to reach new academic heights. Our goal is to elevate their education while staying rooted in our Christ-centered values.
Each year, members of our Administrative Team, Academic Coordinators, and Lead Teachers dedicate time at the FPEA (Florida Parent-Educators Association) Convention, a respected Christian book and curriculum conference. There, we spend hours reviewing and prayerfully selecting materials that align with our school's vision and mission—ensuring that what we bring into the classroom supports both academic excellence and spiritual development.
Do you have standardized testing?
Yes, we participate in TerraNova testing every year to assure that our students and teachers are on the right path of excellence in all the main areas of academics.
The TerraNova Test is an achievement test commonly given to students in grades K-12 that measures achievement in reading, language arts, mathematics, vocabulary, spelling, and other areas. The TerraNova Test is published by CTB/McGraw-Hill and has set the bar for the highest standards in research, item reliability and validity, and technical quality.
Do you have field trips?
Yes, we believe that education is more than books and equations, it should also be hands-on and very fun! That’s why we take several field trips throughout the school year. Our main objective in conducting a field trip is to reinforce what’s happening in the classroom. Field trips are a way for our students to make real world connections.
Do you accept students with IEP’s?
Currently we do not offer any special education services. We do, however, have teachers that will accommodate or modify to meet the needs of all our students. With our smaller class sizes, our teachers are able to quickly assess our students so they can create activities and lessons to meet each student where they are and help them grow and succeed. Our teachers will use a variety of teaching methods to reach all our students' learning styles.
